Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting, of the City Council, of the City of Falfurrias will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, the 13th of May, 2013, in the Conference Room in the City Hall Building located at 205 E. Allen Street in the City of Falfurrias, in Brooks County.
If during the course of this Council Meeting, the City Council should determine that a closed meeting or executive session of the Council is required, such closed meeting or executive session will be conducted during or soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this notice. This closed meeting or executive session will follow the guidelines and subject matter as set forth under Chapter 551 of Texas Government Code and an amendments thereto.
At such Special Meeting, the following subjects will be considered by the City Council of the City of Falfurrias, Texas
CALL TO ORDER
CITIZEN COMMENTS: This is the opportunity for visitors and guests to address the City Council on any issue. City Council may not discuss any presented issue, nor may any action be taken on any issue at this time. (Attorney General Opinion – JC 0169)
Discussion and possible approval of consolidating tax collection services of the City of Falfurrias with the Brooks County Tax Office.
Mayor sets date for the Canvass of Election results for the City of Falfurrias May 11, 2013 General Election. (May 14-22 Period for Official Canvass)
Discussion and possible action on 4th of July celebration activities
